Groundbreaking ceremony on U.S. 377 Relief Route
In April 2019, Zachry Construction Corporation was awarded an approximately $61 million contract with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to create a relief route along US 377 and State Highway 171 in Cresson, Texas. The project entails constructing a three-mile route west of Cresson and building two, new bridges over the Fort Worth and Western Railroad (FWWR) tracks to increase driver safety and ease commuter delays. The Zachry team will work closely with FWWR, as time frames to work in and around the railways will be limited to approximately 12-hour timeframes. TxDOT kicked off the project with a ground breaking ceremony on September 5, 2019. The project is slated for completion in summer 2022.
